Krishikanya Shetkari Producer Company Limited

Our little group, Krishikanya Shetkari Producer Company Limited, runs out of Sunil Shesharao Paithanekolwad’s place in Buldana. We are mostly focused on the local farming community here in the Tal and Dist area. It’s a group of us who realized that working alone was getting harder every year. By coming together, we can share tools or just share advice when a certain pest is ruining the crops. The name Krishikanya means a lot to us because it reflects the hard work of the women in our families who are out there in the sun just as much as anyone else. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy website. Usually, we just meet up at Sunil's and talk through whatever is going on with the harvest. Buldana is a good place to farm, but you have to be smart about it. We’re just trying to be honest about the challenges we face and help each other get through the season. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in running a producer company, and honestly, we’d rather be in the fields, but we know this part is important too. We don’t make big promises, we just try to get the work done. It’s a local effort, through and through. If you’re around Kolwad, you’ll probably run into one of us sooner or later. Just regular people doing regular work for our families.
