Tasoora Masale

Tasoora Masale is based in Village-Jalalpur, which is part of the Bugrasi town area. Our shop is quite close to the Markaz Masjid, so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. Working with spices means the whole place always smells like turmeric and chili. It gets in your clothes and your hair, but you get used to it after a while. The village life in Jalalpur is slow and steady. We don't rush things here. We spend hours grinding the masale and making sure the mix is just right. It’s dusty work, and we have to wear scarves over our faces sometimes so we don't sneeze. The equipment we use is old but it works fine for what we need. Most of our neighbors are farmers or other small business owners. When the sun is out, it gets quite warm inside the shop, so we keep the doors wide open. People walking to the masjid often stop by just to say hello or ask what we are making today. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. Tasoora Masale is just about the spices and the daily grind. We pack everything by hand in small plastic bags. It takes time, but it’s the only way we know how to do it properly. Bugrasi is a small place, and news travels fast, so we just try to do our work without making any fuss or noise. It’s a simple business in a simple village, and that suits us just fine.
