Saraswati Vidya Mandir

Saraswati Vidya Mandir is located in the Lalkuan part of Bulandshahr. It’s a busy place with a lot of people moving around, so the school feels like a bit of a landmark for the locals. The building is a few stories high and it’s seen a lot of years. The paint isn't as bright as it once was, but the structure is strong. We have children coming in from all parts of the town. Inside, it's just a standard school setup. There are rows of wooden benches and blackboards that are a bit grey from all the chalk used over the years. We don't have any of the fancy stuff you might find in a private school in a big city. It’s just a place for learning. The bell is a solid piece of iron that we strike with a metal rod, and that sound pretty much runs our day. During the winter, everyone likes to stand in the courtyard to get some sun because the classrooms can get a bit chilly. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or marketing. People just know we are here because their cousins or neighbors went here too. The staff room is always full of stacks of notebooks waiting to be checked. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students follow the rules. Bulandshahr is home to us, and this school is just our part of it.
