Shanti Krishi Farm House

Shanti Krishi Farm House is situated in Village-Mangalpur. Our mail comes through the Khadana post office. It is a quiet place where we spend our time working the land and looking after the crops. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our office is basically wherever we happen to be standing on the farm. We’ve lived and worked in Mangalpur for many years, following the seasons and the weather. Some years the rain is good and everything is green, and other years it is a bit of a struggle. We grow what we can and try to keep the soil healthy. It is hard work that starts early in the morning before the sun is even up. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. If the produce is good, people will know. We spend a lot of time fixing tools and making sure the irrigation is working. It isn't a life for everyone, but we like the fresh air and the way the village feels. Sometimes we sit under the trees to take a break when the sun gets too hot. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to run a decent farm and provide for our families. It’s a very simple existence out here in Khadana. We just take things as they come and do the best we can with what we have. There is always something that needs fixing or planting before the day ends.
