Murgi Government Upgraded Middle School

Murgi Government Upgraded Middle School is in a place called Piraguttu in the Ranchi area. Since it is a government school, we have a very specific way of doing things based on the state rules. The "upgraded" part of our name means that we were once just a primary school but now we have more classes so the older kids can stay here instead of going somewhere else. The building is simple and painted in the usual colors you see for government buildings in Jharkhand. We have a large courtyard where the kids line up for prayers and where we serve the mid-day meals. That time of day is always the busiest and the most chaotic with the smell of food and the sound of hundreds of plates. The students come from the local village families in Piraguttu and most of them walk to school. We have a few teachers who handle multiple subjects because we aren't a big institution. The walls have some hand-painted charts about science and history to help the kids learn. There is a lot of paperwork that needs to be done for the government records, so the small office is always full of ledgers. It is a humble place, just doing the work of educating the local children and making sure they have a meal and a desk every day.
