Gurudev Medicals

Gurudev Medicals has been sitting here on Saraidhela Road for a good while. We are right across from the Premson Honda Workshop. If you see the bikes being fixed over there, you know you are in the right place. It is a regular medical shop in Dhanbad. We stock the usual things people need like bandages, syrups, and tablets. The shelves are pretty full, sometimes a bit messy because we are always pulling boxes down to find what a customer needs. It’s not a big supermarket-style pharmacy. It’s more of a counter where you hand over your slip and we go find the items in the back. The traffic on Saraidhela Road is usually heavy, so there is always a bit of dust coming in through the front. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters. People stop by on their way home from work mostly. We see the same faces every week. It’s a quiet kind of work, checking expiry dates and making sure the fridge stays cold for the injections. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions or to vent about the heat. We don't mind. It is part of being a shop owner in this area. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just have our shop and our customers who live around here. We just keep the lights on and help whoever shows up. It is a steady way to spend the day.
