Down at 2-A-29 in the Industrial Area, you will find our workshop. Alcast Engineering is mostly just a group of us who know our way around metal casting. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular industrial unit with high ceilings and plenty of vents. We spend a lot of time around the furnaces and the molds. It is sweaty work, and your hands are never really clean, even after scrubbing them at the end of the day. We’ve been in this specific spot for years, and we know all the neighbors in the surrounding units. We often borrow tools from each other or help move heavy stuff when someone’s crane is down. There’s no corporate ladder here. If something needs doing, whoever is closest just does it. We don't have a dedicated sales team or anyone to write fancy brochures. Usually, if someone wants to talk to us, they just show up at the side door. We have our fair share of bad days when a pour goes wrong or a mold cracks, but we just clean it up and start over. That is just how engineering goes. It is about fixing problems as they come up and making sure we don't make the same mistake twice. Most of us have lived in this city our whole lives.
