Our spot is over in Pitrismriti Bhawan, right in the Saralpur area near Tarapith. It’s a busy place, especially with all the people coming through Birbhum for the temples and everything else. We handle the steel side of things from this West Bengal office. It's not a huge building, but it serves its purpose for the work we handle daily. Usually, the mornings are the most hectic because that’s when the calls start coming in from the local sites. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking over manifests at our desks. Being in a place like Tarapith means there's always something going on outside the window. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months, which makes the office feel like a sanctuary sometimes. We don't have a lot of corporate decorations or anything like that. It’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of paper related to the steel shipments. The local tea stall nearby is where we usually end up during our breaks. People around here know us by name. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just take care of the steel supply and make sure the logs are accurate. If someone stops by, they’ll usually find one of us sorting through the day's tasks. It's steady work, and we’ve been part of this community for a while now, just doing our thing in this corner of West Bengal. It’s a bit dusty but it’s our workplace.
