New Rock Field

New Rock Field is based out in Kapista Village. It’s in the Mohammad Bazar Tehsil area of Birbhum District, right by the Sainthia Road. It’s more of a rural setting than a city office, which suits the work we do. There’s a lot of open space and plenty of dirt around. We spend most of our time outside or in the small shed we use as an office. The road can get pretty dusty with the trucks going back and forth all day. We deal with rocks and field work mostly. It’s physical and can be tiring when the sun is really beating down on Birbhum. We don't really use computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in notebooks. People from the village work here, so it feels like a community thing. We’ve been at this Kapista location for quite some time now. You won't find any glossy brochures or sales pitches here. We just show people what we have and they decide. It’s quiet in the mornings before the machinery starts up. We have our tea together and talk about what needs to happen for the day. It’s a simple life and the work is steady. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a rock field company trying to keep things moving along the road. It’s not flashy, but it works for us and the people who live around here in the district.
