Out in Phase II of the Siltara Industrial Area, you’ll find us at Unicorn Steels & Power. It’s a loud place, full of the sounds of heavy metal and the hum of the power units. Siltara is always busy, with trucks constantly moving in and out of the gates, and our spot at 34-35 is no different. We spend our shifts surrounded by steel beams and the heat from the machinery. It’s a big plant, but it’s run by regular people who’ve been in the industry for a long time. We don’t have time for polished speeches or fancy marketing. Most of our day is spent making sure the power stays steady and the steel is being handled correctly. The floors are often covered in iron dust, and the air smells like hot metal, which is just the way an industrial site should be. We’ve got a team that knows the machines inside out, and we mostly just talk shop over lunch in the break room. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. We stay focused on the output and making sure the logistics of the industrial area don’t get too tangled up. Every day is about managing the furnace and the rollers, keeping the flow going so the trucks can take the loads to where they are needed next. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it by now and just keep at the job.
