J. S. Enterprises

Our little office, J. S. Enterprises, is at number 2 on Magarpara Road. It’s a bit of a noisy spot because we’re right near the Deshbandhu Press, and you can hear their machinery humming along through the walls most of the day. We’ve gotten so used to it that it feels weirdly quiet when they stop for a break. Our space is pretty cramped, to be honest. We’ve got boxes stacked up nearly to the ceiling and a desk that’s always covered in notes and scraps of paper. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a magazine, but it works for us. We handle a bit of everything here, mostly small orders and odd jobs that people in the area need help with. There’s no big hierarchy; whoever is closest to the door usually answers it. We spend a lot of time chatting with the people who drop by, as everyone around Magarpara Road seems to know each other. Sometimes we’ll walk down the street to get some snacks or just to get away from the sound of the press for a few minutes. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we’re just here to do our work and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a simple life, and we’ve been in this same spot long enough that it feels like home now.
