Lalit Art & Craft

You can find Lalit Art & Craft near Parashar Bhawan, which is right by the Jassusar Gate. The Jassusar Gate is one of those old city gates that everyone knows, so it is a good landmark for us. Our shop is just a short walk from there. The building is nothing special, just a regular brick structure that has been there for decades. We spend our days inside working on various crafts. It is usually just a few of us. We have some old wooden tables that are scarred from years of use. There is always a smell of glue or paint in the air depending on what we are doing that week. Parashar Bhawan is usually busy with local events, so we get a fair amount of foot traffic past our door. The street is narrow and paved with old stones, which can be a bit bumpy for the rickshaws. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see what the day brings. Most of our neighbors are also small shopkeepers, so we all know each other and keep an eye on things. It is a bit of a cramped space, and we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit sometimes. We aren't worried about being polished. We just want to get the crafts finished and ready.
