You can find Bm Spices Store at Lakotion Ka Chowck. We are very close to the Narsing Temple, so we hear the bells ringing throughout the day. The smell of spices is always thick in the air around here. We have big bags of turmeric, chili, and cumin sitting open on the floor. Most of our work involves weighing out portions for people who come in with their own containers. It’s a messy job, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the shift. The shop is old and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We don't do any big advertising. People find us because they can smell the spices from down the street. We get our stock from the same people we’ve worked with for decades. My father started this place, and now I run it with my cousins. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars about their cooking or just the local news. It’s a social spot as much as a business. When the temple has a festival, the whole area gets incredibly crowded, and we stay open late. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the bins full and the scales balanced. It’s honest work in a part of town that hasn’t changed much in fifty years. We just keep the shop open for the neighborhood people.
