Over on Basta Road in Khanpur, Chandpur, you will find Riyasat Building Material. We are located quite near the Bansal Dhram Kanta, which is a place most people around here use as a reference point. Our yard is filled with all sorts of things you might need if you are building something. We have been here for a while, and the road can get pretty busy with tractors and trucks moving back and forth. It is a practical kind of place. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. It is all about the materials. We spend our days loading up supplies and talking to the builders who come through. Sometimes it's a bit chaotic when several people show up at once, but we manage to get everyone sorted eventually. Living and working in Khanpur means we know a lot of the faces that come through the gate. It’s a tight-knit community in some ways. We see people starting their houses and then coming back months later for the finishing touches. It is good to be a part of that process. The dust from the road and the yard is just a constant part of life here. We just keep at it, making sure we have what people need so they don't have to travel too far to find building supplies. It's a straightforward way to make a living and we enjoy the work.
