Shree Veerabhadreshwara Trading

Our business, Shree Veerabhadreshwara Trading, is tucked away at 847, right behind the Barakaman in Bijapur. Being on Kaladgi Galli near M G Road means we are in the middle of a very old part of town. The streets are narrow and it can get quite hectic when trucks are trying to deliver goods. We handle a lot of different trading items, and the shop is usually filled with stacks of bags and boxes. It’s not the easiest place to navigate if you aren’t used to it. The building itself is older, and you can see the wear on the walls and the ceiling. We don’t have a fancy sign or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been here for a long time. Every morning we start by moving things around to make a path for customers. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and carrying stuff all day. The dust from the road comes in, so we’re always wiping things down, though it never stays clean for long. We drink a lot of tea while we work and chat with the other shopkeepers in the lane. It’s a community feel here. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just do our work, manage the stock, and try to keep things moving. It’s a simple operation, run by people who just want to get through the daily tasks.
