Appu Farms

We have been here at Appu Farms for a while now, right near the Old Mugalakhod Math on Solapur Road in Todalabagi. It is a quiet spot mostly. The days start early when the sun is just coming up over the fields and we get to work with whatever needs doing that day. Some days it is fixing a fence and other days it is just checking on how things are growing in the soil. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the land and the buildings we need to keep things running. People from around here know the way to the math so they find us pretty easily if they are looking. It gets dusty out here when the wind picks up off the road but that is just part of living in this area. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the weather has other plans for us. My father used to say the land takes care of you if you take care of it and that is what we do every day without making a big fuss about it. We grow what we can and deal with the seasons as they come. It is not always easy work but it is honest and it keeps us busy from morning until late. The neighborhood has changed some over the years with more traffic on Solapur Road but our little corner stays much the same as it always was.
