Sri Mayura Traders

You’ll find Sri Mayura Traders inside the Naya Kaman area of Bidar. Our address is H-No-2-1-16/1, and it’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't from the neighborhood. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. The building is an old one, like many others around this part of Karnataka. We do a lot of trading, which mostly means we spend our time on the phone or checking the crates that come in. It gets pretty dusty, and we’re always moving boxes from one corner to the other to make room for new stuff. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people who come by are regulars who know exactly where to turn. The mornings start with opening the shutters and sweeping the front bit of the street. It’s a lot of manual work, checking invoices and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. Sometimes the heat in Bidar gets to be a bit much, so we take it slow in the afternoons. We aren't a big corporation, just a few of us handling the daily trade. We know the other shopkeepers around Naya Kaman well, and we often share a tea while waiting for deliveries. It’s just a basic business where we try to keep things organized and get the work done before it gets dark. The stone walls keep it a bit cooler.
