Our place is at number 456, right by the Gurudwara in the Bidar Fort area. It’s an old part of town, so the roads are a bit narrow and you have to watch where you park. The fort is always there in the background, which is a nice view when we step outside for a breath of air. Being near the Gurudwara means there’s always people walking by, especially on the weekends. It’s a small shop, really, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. We have shelves lined with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people are inside at once. We don't have a computer system that’s very fast, so we still do a lot of things by hand in our ledger. My nephew helps out sometimes when he’s not in school. We mostly deal with the locals from around the fort and some of the visitors who get lost looking for the main gate. It's a steady life here in Bidar. We open up after the morning prayers are done and stay until the streetlights come on. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we just sweep it out every morning and get on with it. It's a simple life and we enjoy the people who stop by for a chat.
