Our place is over at Kange Nivas, House Number 8-7-13 Mig, which is right near Madiwal Chowk in Bidar. It is a solid building and we have been using it for the ITI courses for the local guys for a long time. Karnataka summers get very hot, so the rooms can get a bit warm during the middle of the day, but the students are usually too busy with the tools and the practical work to notice. We are tucked away in a spot that is easy to find once you get to the chowk. The floors are made of concrete and they usually have some metal scraps or dust on them by the time the afternoon rolls around. We do not have a big campus with trees or grass. It is just a functional building where people come to learn a trade so they can find some work. The neighbors know us well since there are always bikes parked outside and students coming and going. Sometimes we have to move the heavy tables around to make space for some new equipment that gets delivered. It is a bit of a tight fit, but it works for what we need. Most of the people teaching here have been doing it for years and live in the same neighborhood. We open up early, get the machines ready, and wait for the morning group to arrive. It is a simple setup for the people here.
