If you drive up the Manali-Naggar Road, you’ll find us eventually. Namdeo Umaji Agritech has been here for a good bit. It’s a beautiful spot but the winters get really tough with all the snow and the cold winds coming off the mountains. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers who come by looking for advice or just checking what we have in stock. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and shelves full of folders and samples. We stay pretty busy during the planting season and then things quiet down when the weather turns. Sometimes the road gets blocked by a landslide or heavy rain, and we just have to wait it out. It’s a different pace of life up here compared to the big cities. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. Some days are long, especially when we have to unload a big truck by hand because the equipment is acting up. You get used to the dirt under your fingernails. We mostly drink a lot of chai and talk about the crops and how the weather is changing. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the land around here. Most people know us by name and stop by even if they don't need anything.
