R. S. Furniture

Our workshop and shop, R. S. Furniture, is located in Sundarpada. We are right near Kapil Prasad High School, which means we hear the school bell ringing several times a day. It is a good way to know what time it is without looking at a watch. The air inside the shop usually smells like fresh wood and sometimes a bit of varnish or paint. We have all kinds of tools lying around, like saws and hammers and rulers. It is a busy place where we are always moving things around to make more room. Sometimes we are working on a big table, and other times it is just a small chair. We get a lot of dust on our clothes, but that is just how it goes when you work with wood. The neighborhood is nice, and the people from the high school often walk past and look through the window. We have some finished pieces sitting out front so people can see them. It is not a shiny showroom; it is more of a working space where things actually get made. We try to be careful with every piece we touch. Sometimes a customer comes in with an old piece of furniture they want fixed up. We take a look and see what we can do. It is honest work, and we stay busy from morning until it gets dark outside. We just keep building things as the orders come in.
