We are located in Jatni, specifically in the Khasmal Colony area. Our office is set up at M.R. Mohapatar’s place. It’s in the Khurda district of Orissa. Dealing with minerals means we have a lot of logistics to handle every day. The office is a practical space, not really meant for showing off to visitors. We have our ledgers and some samples of the minerals we work with sitting on the shelves. Jatni is a place that feels very connected to the railway and the local trade, so being here makes sense for us. The colony is a relatively quiet spot, which helps when we need to focus on the paperwork and the accounts. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the basics that get the job done. The desks are a bit cluttered with documents and the occasional tea cup. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we work. The walk from the main road isn't too long, but it can get dusty when the trucks go by. Most of the people working here are local, so we speak the same language and understand how things move in this part of the country. The Khasmal Colony has a lot of trees, which makes the walk to the office quite nice in the mornings. Mr. Mohapatar’s place is easy to find once you know the landmarks. We have a big wooden table where we spread out the mineral reports and the transport logs. It works for our needs.
