About Welcomheritage Noor-Us-Sabah Palace – Hotels, Motel & Resorts in Bhopal
This house sits up on the hill at Koh-E-Fiza, looking down at the water. It’s been here since before most of us were born. Being on VIP Road means we get a lot of cars passing by, but once you come inside the gate, it feels a lot further away from the noise. The building has these high ceilings that stay cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We spend a lot of our time walking the long hallways. Sometimes it feels like the palace is too big, but then you see the view from the edge of the garden and it makes sense why it was built here. We keep the gardens trimmed, though the weeds are stubborn. It’s an old place, so there is always a door that squeaks or a window that needs looking at. The people who work here aren't wearing uniforms that are too stiff. We just try to be helpful when someone gets lost looking for the dining room. It’s a lot of stairs, honestly. You get used to it after a week or two. In the evenings, the lights from the city start coming on across the lake. That’s usually the best time to be standing outside. We don't do anything too complicated, just keep the place open and the rooms clean. We’ve seen many families come through here for weddings and parties. It gets loud then, but the walls are thick enough to hold the sound and keep the peace.
