You can find us at Plot-E in Sector A of Ayodhya Nagar. It’s a decent spot where we have enough space to park our cranes and some of the maintenance gear. Ayodhya Nagar has grown a lot, and we’ve been here to see most of it happen. Our mornings usually start early, checking the oil and the engines before the drivers take the cranes out to different parts of the city. The lot is mostly gravel and dirt, so it gets a bit muddy when it rains. We have a small shed that serves as an office where we take calls and keep our logs. It’s mostly family and a few trusted workers running things here. We don’t go for big advertisements; word of mouth in the neighborhood and the local construction circles is how we get our work. Sometimes we are lifting heavy beams for a new house, and other times we are helping at a factory. Every day is a bit different depending on what people need moved. It’s a lot of responsibility handling these machines, so we spend a good amount of time on maintenance. We eat our meals together at the small dhabas nearby. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the job done and keeping the machines in good shape. We’ve been part of this community for years, and we just keep doing our work one day at a time without much fuss. It is just the way we operate.
