At 323 Raja Street, right near the Town Hall, Escort Construction Equipment Limited is tucked into a very busy part of the city. Being in the Town Hall area means there is constant traffic and people walking by all the time. Our space is always a bit cramped because construction equipment is naturally quite large and Raja Street wasn't really built for big machines. We do a lot of our work in a small workshop area and a tiny front office. It is noisy and sometimes it feels like the whole building shakes when a big truck goes past. We deal with tractors and backhoes and other things used on job sites. Most of our days are spent on the phone or talking to guys in dusty work clothes who need a part fixed right away. We don't have any shiny posters or high-end furniture. The chairs in the waiting area are a bit old and the desk is covered in oily fingerprints. It’s just the way it is when you work with machinery. We like the location because it’s central, even if the parking is a nightmare for everyone. We know the other shop owners on Raja Street and we usually get our tea from the stall just around the corner. It is a simple operation and we just try to keep the machines moving so the construction sites don't stop.
