New Furniture House

New Furniture House is a small shop over in Old Subhash Nagar. We’ve been here in Govindpura for quite some time now. The street can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends. We have all kinds of stuff packed into the store. Sometimes it’s hard to walk between the sofas and the dining tables. We don’t have a big showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s just a regular shop where we keep things honest. If a chair is sturdy, we’ll tell you. If it’s just for looks, we’ll tell you that too. People around here know us by name. We don’t do any big advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw a bed they liked through the window. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We take care of the furniture and try to help people find what they need for their homes. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We aren't some giant chain store. We’re just local folks selling furniture to other local folks. It’s a simple life. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the wood shavings or packaging, but that’s just how a furniture shop is. We like being part of the Govindpura community. It feels right to be here.
