Esscon Designs & Developers operates out of Smriti Bhavan in Zone II of M P Nagar. We’ve been at number 149 for quite some time now. Bhopal is a city that’s constantly building new things, and we’re just one small part of that whole process. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where all the planning and thinking happens. We have rolls of blueprints leaning against the walls and samples of materials like tiles and wood scattered on the tables. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We spend our days drawing up plans and talking to contractors on the phone. It’s not glamorous work. There is a lot of back and forth with the local authorities and making sure the measurements are actually right on the ground. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just design buildings and try to make sure they stand up properly and look okay for the owners. Most of our clients are local folks looking to build a house or maybe a small shop. They come in, sit down on the old chairs we have, and we talk through what they want. It’s a lot of listening and sketching on scraps of paper. We try to be practical about costs because everyone is on a budget these days. If you're looking for us, we're in the middle of the Zone II block.
