About Architect Arti Vyas – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Bhopal
I’m working out of my space at 67/9Bsaket Nagar Nagar. It’s where I handle all the architectural work that comes my way. Being an architect is a bit of a mixed bag. Some days I am just sitting there for hours trying to get a staircase to fit into a tight spot on a plan. Other days I am out at a site arguing with a guy about where a wall is supposed to go. It’s not always peaceful. Saket Nagar is a good location for the office because it’s easy for people to drop by. I’ve lived around here for a while, so I know how the local building rules work. I don’t go for anything too fancy or over the top. I just think that a house should be solid and do what it’s supposed to do. I deal with all the paperwork and the drawings myself, so when people call, they are usually talking directly to me. It keeps things simple. My desk is usually covered in pens and rulers and half-finished cups of tea. It’s a busy life but I wouldn't want to do anything else. Seeing a plan finally turn into a real building is a good feeling. It takes a lot of patience, both from me and from the people I work for. We just take it one step at a time until the keys are handed over. It might take months, but we get there eventually.
