Ayush Kirana & General Store

Ayush Kirana & General Store is at Shop 15 near Regal Tower in Khajuri Kalan, Bhopal. We are right by the Regal Homes complex. It’s a typical neighborhood store where we sell all the things people need for their houses. We have bags of rice, flour, pulses, and rows of soaps and shampoos. The space is pretty crowded because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. There are boxes of snacks stacked on the floor and bunches of bananas hanging near the entrance. Every morning starts with the milk delivery. People come in their pajamas to get milk and bread before they start their day. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy sacks around. We use a small notebook to keep track of what we need to order from the wholesalers. The shop gets quite busy in the afternoons when kids come home from school and want candy or chips. We have a small counter with a weighing scale and a calculator that has seen better days. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting isn't the best in the back corners. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing. Everything is just placed where it fits. It’s a busy life, talking to neighbors and making sure we don't run out of sugar or oil. We just keep the shop running for the people living in Regal Homes.
