Carolina Pepper Private Limited is based in the village of Kairu, which is in the Tosham Tehsil of Bhiwani. Being out here in rural Haryana is quite different from being in a big city. It’s a lot quieter and the air feels different. Our address at VPO Kairu is pretty straightforward for anyone who lives in the area. We don't have a fancy office building with elevators. Instead, we have a practical space that suits the agricultural feel of Bhiwani. Most of our work revolves around peppers, as the name suggests. It’s a job that keeps us connected to the land and the local weather. If it doesn't rain, we worry; if it rains too much, we worry about that too. That’s just the way it goes when you’re based in a place like Tosham. The 127029 area is mostly fields and small houses. We don't have a PR person or a team of designers. Our office is just a room with a couple of tables and a fan to keep the heat away. We spend our time talking to local farmers and managing the pepper stock. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to run a decent operation out of Kairu and make sure our work is done right every day. We usually finish up when the sun goes down and head back to our homes nearby.
