Arya Dhenu Misthan Shala

Arya Dhenu Misthan Shala is our little sweet shop located in VPO Balawas. We are right near Tosham Road, so it’s a good spot for people traveling through to stop in. We spend our mornings making different kinds of sweets and snacks. It’s a lot of work with the milk and sugar, and the kitchen gets pretty hot, especially during the summer months. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just make what people like to eat. Sometimes we try new things, but mostly we stick to the traditional stuff that everyone in Balawas expects from us. The shop isn't very large, but it’s clean and we try to keep it welcoming. You’ll often find us behind the counter chatting with neighbors or helping a traveler find their way. We aren't looking to become a huge chain. We like being a local fixture on the way to Tosham Road. Dealing with fresh ingredients means we have to be careful and work fast. It’s an honest living and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close up at night. We’ve seen kids grow up coming into this shop, which is one of the better parts of the job. It’s not just about selling sweets; it’s about being part of the daily life here in the village. We hope people enjoy what we make, but we don't make a big fuss about it. We just keep the trays full.
