Vishwa Bhartiya Traders

We are based in the basement of Nanak Niwas at 30, Benham Hall Lane. Being in a basement means we don’t get a lot of natural light, so we keep the overhead lights on all day. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get down the stairs and away from the street noise. We do a lot of trading from here, which mostly involves being on the phone or checking ledgers. There are boxes stacked against the walls and a few old chairs for when people come by to talk business. Benham Hall Lane is a narrow place, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when trucks come through. We’ve been here for quite a while now and we’ve gotten used to the damp feel of the basement during the rains. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls, just a practical space where we can get our work done. Most of our time is spent coordinating between different suppliers and buyers. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, but we manage to get the orders through eventually. It’s a small team here, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We don't have a big sign outside, just the address on the door. It’s a steady kind of life, and we like the routine of it. We just focus on the trade and keeping things moving.
