S. T. Forgings

S. T. Forgings is out in the Riico Industrial Area, Phase-I, at plot F-140. It is a heavy place, if that makes sense. There is a lot of metal, heat, and the sound of hammers or presses hitting steel. You can feel the vibrations in the floor sometimes. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt because of the grease and the soot. We have a small office tucked in one corner of the building where we keep the paperwork, but most of our time is spent out where the machines are. The roof is high and made of corrugated metal, which makes it really loud when it rains. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job. We don’t have much time for small talk during the shifts. It gets pretty hot in the summer, especially near the furnaces, so we have big fans running constantly. We’ve been at F-140 for a long time and the walls are stained with years of work. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s tough on the body. We don’t have any glossy brochures or fancy websites to show off. People who need forging work done usually find us through word of mouth or by just coming down to Phase-I. We just focus on getting the metal shaped right and moving it out to the customers. The work is hard but it keeps us busy.
