Our factory is at C-587 in the Industrial Area, Phase-1. It is a large space because we have a lot of big machines for the polytech work we do. The floor is mostly concrete and stays pretty cool even when it’s hot outside, though the machines themselves give off a lot of heat. We deal with plastics and polymer materials, so there is often a faint smell of processed materials in the air. The sounds of the extruders and mixers are constant from the time we open until we close. We have a crew that works in shifts to keep everything moving. It is an industrial setting, so things aren't always perfectly clean, and there’s a lot of heavy lifting involved. We spend our time monitoring the production lines and making sure the batches come out the way they should. The office part of the building is just a few desks and some filing cabinets for the paperwork. We don't really have any decorations on the walls or fancy carpets. It’s all very functional. Phase-1 is a busy area, so there are always delivery trucks waiting in the lane outside. We’ve been operating out of this unit for many years and have grown comfortable with the industrial pace. We just focus on the manufacturing and making sure the orders are ready for the trucks when they arrive each afternoon. It is steady, hard work for everyone.
