About Padmavathi Handicrafts – Art & Craft in Bhimavaram
Padmavathi Handicrafts is run out of House No 9-10-39 on Maddipatlavari Street in the World Exise area. It’s more of a local setup than a big company. We work right out of the building here, and you’ll often find the front room filled with materials and finished crafts waiting to be moved. It’s a quiet street for the most part, and we’ve lived and worked here for a long time. The neighbors know what we do, and sometimes they stop by to see what’s new. We make things by hand, so it’s a slow process. There’s no big assembly line or anything like that. It’s just people sitting and working with their hands, making sure the details look right. The house is old but it serves us well for storing the beads, cloth, and wood we use for our handicrafts. Being in the World Exise neighborhood means we are close to the local markets, which is handy. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy website. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking down Maddipatlavari Street and seeing us at work. It’s a simple life, and we like being able to create something from scratch every day. The workspace is a bit cluttered because we always have five different things going at once, but we know where everything is. It’s a home business and we treat it that way.
