Apoorva Handicrafts

Our family has been working on Apoorva Handicrafts on Kovel Street for a long time now. We are right near the Kovel Temple at number 3-7-25. It is a small shop, mostly filled with all kinds of things people make by hand. We get a lot of people walking by our door after they visit the temple for prayers. It gets really crowded on festival days, and the noise from the bells and the people on the street is just part of our daily life here. We do not have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It is just wooden shelves piled up with different items we have collected or made over the months. Sometimes the dust gets in from the open street, so we spend half the morning just wiping things down to keep them clean. It is honest, slow work. We know almost all the neighbors around this block. People come in looking for a small gift or maybe something to put in their own home. We do not do any big sales pitches here. You see what you like, you ask the price, and that is how it goes. Some days are very slow, especially when it is hot outside, and we just sit by the door and watch the world go by. It is a quiet life for the most part. We are not a big company, just a local spot on a busy street.
