Our shop is at 71 in the New Cloth Market on Pur Road. If you know Bhilwara, you know this area is always crowded with people buying and selling textiles. We deal specifically with yarns. The space is mostly filled with stacks of different counts and types of yarn. It can get a bit cramped when a new delivery arrives. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and take calls. Most of the day is spent talking to weavers or people from the mills who need specific materials. It’s a lot of walking around and checking the stock. The market can be quite noisy with all the loading and unloading going on outside our door. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around. Sometimes we just sit outside on a stool and chat when things are slow. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the market, we just want to make sure the people who buy from us get what they need. There is always a lot of dust because of all the fabric moving around, but that’s just part of the job in this part of town. We just keep going one day at a time.
