Yarn & Fabrics

Our shop, Yarn & Fabrics, is located at A-48 in Chitrakoot Nagar, right along Sanganer Road. If you know the area, it's a spot that stays busy because of the traffic moving toward the main parts of town. We have been working out of this space for quite some time now. Inside, it is mostly shelves filled with different types of yarn and various fabrics we’ve collected. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy sorting through the materials to get to that. It’s a practical place. We keep the fans running all day because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Most of the people who come in are local folks from the neighborhood or someone who saw our sign while driving down Sanganer Road. We don’t do much fancy talking here. We just show people what’s available on the rolls and let them decide. The morning light hits the front of the shop nicely, making it easier to see the colors of the thread. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, but that’s just part of being on a main road. We keep a kettle in the back for tea when things get quiet. It’s a decent place to spend the day, surrounded by piles of cloth and the hum of the road outside. Nothing special, just our daily work, and we like it that way.
