Shantinath Traders

Shantinath Traders is located right at the Civil Lines Karshi Mandi Chauraha. If you know the area, you know how busy that intersection gets, especially during the peak market hours in the morning. We are right in the thick of it. There is always someone shouting or a tractor passing by, which is just part of the daily life for us here. We deal with trading various goods, and being near the Mandi helps because everyone passes through this spot eventually. The office is pretty simple. We have some basic wooden chairs for when visitors come to talk business and a large desk where most of the tallying happens. It gets quite hot in the summer months since the Chauraha is so open to the sun, but we have a couple of old fans that keep the air moving. People usually stop by to check prices or just to see what’s new in the market that week. We’ve known most of our neighbors for years now. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a quick samosa from the corner while waiting for a delivery to arrive. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. It’s steady work and we like being in this part of town despite all the noise. If the traffic isn't too bad, it’s actually a very convenient place to be.
