Our yard is located on Pur Road. We deal in building materials, so you’ll see piles of sand, bricks, and bags of cement when you come by. It’s a dusty place, which is expected given what we sell. We’ve been on this road for quite a while, helping local people get the stuff they need to build their houses or fix up a wall. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the trucks. We don't have a fancy office; it's mostly just a small desk where we keep the ledgers and handle the payments. People drive their tractors or trucks in, we load them up, and they head back to their construction sites. It’s very much a local operation. We know the builders around here and the families who are trying to add a room to their homes. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, and sometimes we’re waiting for the next delivery to arrive. It’s just the rhythm of the trade. We don't do any big advertising. Most of our customers come to us because they’ve seen us here for years or a neighbor told them we had what they needed. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is bad, but it’s what we do. If you need some gravel or bricks for a project, we’re right here on Pur Road. We try to keep things simple and get the loading done as quickly as possible so nobody is wasting their daylight hours.
