Sanjay General Store

We’ve been here at Pur Road in the UTI Market for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their groceries. Sanjay General Store is just a small place, really. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. One day it’s a bag of flour or some lentils, and the next day a kid comes in looking for a specific kind of pen for school. The shelves aren't always the neatest, but we know where everything is. Living and working in this part of town means we see the same faces every day. It’s nice to recognize people by their walk or the way they ask for their usual brand of tea. Sometimes the fans don't work as well as they should when it gets really hot outside, so we just prop the door open and hope for a breeze. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a counter, some racks, and us. People stop by on their way home from work to grab soap or maybe some biscuits for tea. It’s a simple life here in the market. We open early and stay until the lights in the other shops start going out. There is always a bit of dust from the road, but that's just how it is. We’re just here doing our thing every day.
