Kumawat Chemical

This business is out in Saransh Village, which is part of the Shahpura Tehsil in the Bhilwara District. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but we like the space we have at Plot No 43. We work with chemicals, mostly stuff used by the local farms or small factories in the district. The sun out here in Rajasthan is no joke, so we do most of the heavy lifting early in the morning or late in the evening. The building is just a big warehouse with some stone walls to keep the heat out. We have a lot of blue drums stacked up near the back. My cousins and some of the men from the village help me with the mixing and the loading. We don’t have any big fancy computers, just a notebook where I write down what goes out and what comes in. Sometimes a tractor passes by and kicks up a lot of dust, which we have to clean off the equipment later. It’s a simple life out here, away from the big city noise. We mostly deal with people we’ve known for years. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy, so we have to stop work and wait for it to come back. We just keep going, making sure the orders are ready for whenever the pickup truck arrives. That is how we run Kumawat Chemical in our little corner of the world.
