Bihar School Of Yoga

The Bihar School Of Yoga has a presence here at the Satyananda Institute Of Yogic Science. We are located on Samelia Road, right in the Harni Mahadeo area of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but the 311001 zip code area is usually pretty calm compared to the center of the city. I work here helping with the daily tasks and making sure the space is ready for those who come to learn. Rajasthan can be very dry and dusty, so there is always a bit of sweeping to do around the institute. The building is simple and functional, designed for practice rather than show. We get people from all walks of life visiting us on Samelia Road. I handle the gate and the registrations mostly. Sometimes I sit outside when the weather is not too harsh and just watch the traffic go by on the road. It is a slow kind of work, which fits the whole atmosphere of what we do here. There are no flashing lights or big signs, just the institute building and the people who come to study yoga. My job involves a lot of routine, from opening the doors early in the morning to making sure the lights are off at night. It is a peaceful place to spend the day, even if the paperwork gets a bit tedious sometimes. We keep things grounded and just focus on the daily schedule.
