You can find us right by the Roadways Bus Stand in Gulabpura. Because of where we are, we see a lot of people who are just passing through on their way to somewhere else. They usually want a quick trim or a shave before they hop back on their bus. The shop is small and practical. We don’t have any of those fancy salon lights, just regular bulbs and the natural light coming through the front door. There is always a layer of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping down the counters. It gets pretty loud with the buses honking and the conductors calling out destinations. We’ve got a few old magazines on a table for people to look at while they wait. My hands are usually busy from the time we open until we close up at night. We keep plenty of clean towels ready and the water heater is always going. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do anything too complicated, just standard cuts that look neat. Some of the regular bus drivers stop in for a head massage when they have a long break between trips. It’s nice to hear stories from people traveling all over the state. We’ve been at this Gulabpura spot for years and it feels like we’re part of the station itself now. Just a simple barber shop doing its daily work. We don't worry about being trendy, we just focus on doing a decent job.
