I am based over in Shastri Nagar, specifically in the New Housing Board area. It is a residential part of town, so it stays relatively peaceful compared to the main market. Most of the buildings around here look similar, all part of the housing board layout. I have my setup in one of these blocks where I take care of my daily business. It is a very local feel here. You see the same neighbors walking their dogs or kids heading to school every morning. My workspace is pretty basic. I have a desk, some chairs for visitors, and shelves filled with records. I do not really go for the modern, minimalist look. It is just a functional room where I can focus on what needs to be done. Sometimes people find it a bit tricky to navigate the housing board lanes if they are visiting for the first time, but usually, they find me once they see the Shastri Nagar signs. I have lived and worked around here long enough that I do not need a map anymore. The routine is usually the same. I open up in the morning, handle the paperwork, and meet a few people who have scheduled to see me. In the evenings, it is nice to walk around the block before heading home. It is a steady, quiet way to handle things without much drama. That is basically my life at this office.
