Anjani Creation

Our workshop, Anjani Creation, is located at No. 101, right near the Municipal Park in Chintal. Having the park so close is nice because you get to see some green trees and people walking around when you look out the door. The building itself is just a regular spot on a regular street. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our sewing machines. We have rolls of cloth leaned up against the walls and scissors hanging from hooks near the tables. It’s not the most organized place in the world, as there are usually scraps of thread and fabric all over the floor by midday. We try to sweep up, but it just gets messy again. The room is often filled with the sound of the machines whirring and people talking over each other. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. When the weather is good, the breeze from the park comes in, which is much better than just having the ceiling fan on. Most people who come by are locals from Chintal who know us by sight. We don’t do any big advertising or anything. We just sit at our machines and get through the orders as they come in. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to do, and you can hear the park getting quiet as it gets dark. It’s just a simple life of making things and staying busy in our little corner of the world.
