You’ll find Sri Mannarayana Agencies on Bhavnagar Road, right opposite the Reliance Petrol Pump. It’s a very busy spot because of all the vehicles stopping for fuel throughout the day. We see a lot of heavy trucks and cars go by every single hour. Our agency handles a wide variety of goods, so there’s always something being loaded or unloaded at the front of the building. The warehouse area is pretty big, but it’s almost always full of wooden crates and cardboard boxes. We spend a lot of our time checking long lists and making sure the right items go to the right places. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around by hand and making sure nothing gets damaged in the process. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of desks and a telephone that rings way too often during the day. It’s dusty work because of the road being so close, so we’re always wiping down the tables and chairs. We’ve been operating here for several years and have a good rhythm to how we do things. We don't have a website or a big sales team. Most of our business comes from the relationships we’ve built with suppliers and buyers over time. The heat on Bhavnagar Road can be tough in the summer, but we have a few good fans that keep the air moving inside.
