Shyam Iron Works

Shyam Iron Works is located on Ruvapari Road, right next to Moti Studio. We are also quite close to the Rukhdia Hanumanji Temple. You can usually hear us before you see us because of the sound of metal being worked. It’s a noisy business, but that’s what happens when you’re dealing with iron. We’ve got anvils, welding gear, and piles of raw metal sitting around. Our hands are usually dirty from the soot and the iron filings. We do a lot of custom work for people in the neighborhood. Maybe it’s a gate that needs fixing or some window grills. We don't have a computer system to track everything; a lot of it is written down in a big ledger on the desk. The shop is open to the street, so we see everyone passing by on Ruvapari Road. We’ve been here for years, and the temple nearby is a constant landmark for us. We aren't a big factory. It’s just a few of us making things out of iron. Sometimes the sparks fly and the heat from the forge is intense. We just keep at it. People know they can come to us for practical metalwork. We don't promise miracles, just solid work that holds up over time. It’s an honest way to make a living. We aren't fancy, just local craftsmen doing what we know how to do with our hands.
