R K Faluda

Our little shop is located on Sindhunagar Main Road in Bhavnagar, specifically in the Sardarnagar area near the Nandbaba Temple. We have been serving our faluda here for a long time now. It is a small place, just Shop No 1, but it gets quite a big crowd during the hot afternoons and into the late evenings. We spend most of our mornings doing the prep work, like making the vermicelli and ensuring the milk is chilled just right. There is not a lot of room to sit inside, so most people just stand around on the sidewalk or take their glasses back to their cars. It is a local neighborhood spot, so we know many of our regular customers by their names. We do not use any fancy modern machines, just the same traditional way we have always done things here. The 364001 area is where we feel at home. Sometimes the street gets completely blocked with people going to the temple for prayers, but that usually means more folks stop by for a cold drink. It is a family-run business, and we all take turns standing behind the counter to serve. We do not have a big marketing plan or any glossy brochures. We just focus on making sure the faluda tastes exactly the same every single time someone orders it. It involves a lot of washing glasses and pouring syrup, but it keeps us very busy.
