Oceanic Corporation

Our spot is Godown No. 108/B, right by the Old Port. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't used to the docks. Oceanic Corporation has been using this space for a long time. The walls are thick and it stays relatively cool inside, even when it’s hot outside. You can smell the salt from the water most days. We spend a lot of time moving things around and keeping track of what comes in. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We don't have a fancy front office with air conditioning. We mostly just have the desks pushed up against the wall near the main door. It’s loud around here with the trucks and the cranes working nearby. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the daily schedule. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to load things up, so we wait it out and talk. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We know the other guys working at the port and we all just get along. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Just a few people making sure the godown stays running right. If you need us, we are usually there from dawn until the last truck leaves at night. It’s a simple setup at Oceanic Corporation and it works for us.
